IT Solution Architect & Designer

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance
  • Prepare E2E IT Enterprise Solution Architecture and Design, and produce relevant documents and diagrams, and obtain approval from relevant stakeholders
  • Provide technical oversight to teams and vendors in order to deliver complex IT solutions to business problems
  • Work with Business Analyst to propose new and innovative corporate IT initiatives along with technical solution
  • Oversee detailed design and implementation activities to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with project management, technology owner, and other teams to adjust design as project evolves
  • Develop and maintain IT Planning documentation and diagrams
  • Mentor others to develop technical skills and leadership ability

Professional Experience and Knowledge

  • 8+ years of relevant experience of working as IT Solution Architect, Designer or System Integrator in Telecom IT
  • Experience in at least three among: Telecom Billing, CRM, ERP, Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse, Cloud Computing
  • Experience in software engineering processes, UML, strong documentation / technical writing skills, Middleware and Enterprise Application Integration
  • Experience in IT project management execution at enterprise level;
  • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
  • Prior specific experience in developing IT solution architectures & design for Telecom IT
  • Experienced in translating business strategies, across several business units, into effective solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Good understanding of design patterns and their application at all levels (conceptual, logical and physical)
  • Strong understanding of telecom billing and CRM is a must
  • Candidate with knowledge of eTOM & ITIL will be preferred

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL is mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate easily and well with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels, with strong customer service skills.
  • Possess multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment with respect and sensitivity for diversity.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

Education & Training

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or Education Institute in one of the following disciplines (Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Science).
